CO-COSTUME DESIGNER — BELLE MUNDI

My role: CO-COSTUME DESIGNER
Listen follows a Portuguese family in London fighting to keep their children from being taken into care. With a budget of £5,000 and a brief rooted in British social realism, the costume design had to feel invisible — worn, lived-in, and emotionally true without ever announcing itself.

The central tension was between the family's soft, human palette and the structured, distancing language of the institutions around them. That contrast does the work that dialogue doesn't need to.

Co-designed with Belle Mundi. Selected at Venice Film Festival 2020, where it won five awards including the Special Jury Prize.
